Dancing with the Planetary Crisis: A Soul-Initiation at Esalen with Terry Patten and Sarah Marshank

July 30, 2017 - August 4, 2017

Terry will again be co-leading a workshop this year with Sarah Marshank at historic Esalen in Big Sur, CA. Register and find more info here.

Dancing with the Planetary Crisis: A Soul-Initiation

Do you recoil from global warming and our planetary ecological predicament? Do you see extreme weather events as inconvenient anomalies or fierce teachers? Is it possible to be transformed through opening to our denial, fear, anger, and grief? Can we transmute despair into empowered joy, courage, and creativity? Together we will experience the power in naming the poignancy of these times. Prepare to go deep and discover your unique, soulful, intelligent, and meaningful place in the world.

Workshop activities and explorations include the following:

• Silent and guided meditation and prayer

• Deep conversations

• Embodied transformative work anchored in transpersonal and somatic psychology

• Interpersonal processes and creative activities including conscious movement, imaginal theatre, and vocal expression

• Clear context for understanding and anchoring your learning

During our time together, you can release emotions that prevent you from acting powerfully from your soul’s clarity and wisdom. You can gain skills for identifying when you fall into negative emotional and thought patterns and learn to bring your awareness back to your deepest self. Prepare to experience an integral, evolutionary, soul-centered, embodied initiation into a life of self-compassion and radical service of all humanity.
