When Leslie and I left the ashram, our son Michael was born, our book Biocircuits came out, we bought a house, and we started a business. From 1988 to 1998 I curated the catalog, pursuing an art form you might call “mail-order catalog as Dada performance art.” People all over the world realized that the technological explosion of the 70s and 80s included experimentation with altered states and subtle sensitivities. We defined two new product categories, “conscious technologies” and “subtle energy” tools, and also carried important new books (like The Future of the Body and Sex, Ecology and Spirituality) as well as conventional EMF meters, books, and shielding tools. One of my favorite parts was conceiving some of the catalog covers.
